Level 6: Advanced Stagecraft
Advanced Stagecraft is an exploration of improv beyond rules, formulas, and “doing it right.” This class is for experienced improvisers who are ready to trust their instincts, break habits, and reconnect with why they fell in love with this art form in the first place. Over six weeks, we’ll expand your creative range by focusing on physicality, space, silence, absurdity, and seriousness - learning how much story and relationship can exist without relying on familiar patterns or dialogue.
This class emphasizes presence over perfection. We’ll intentionally let go of trying to be “good” at improv and explore what happens when you fully commit to what’s happening right now. You’ll strengthen your ability to read energy, trust your gut, and build relationships based on instinct rather than overthinking - finding freedom, confidence, and joy in bold, honest choices on stage.
Advanced Stagecraft is also about ownership. You’ll be challenged to take creative risks, push past what feels comfortable, and do improv for your sake - not the audience’s, not the instructor’s, not the form’s. By the end of the course, you’ll have a clearer sense of your personal improv voice, a wider creative toolkit, and a renewed connection to play, curiosity, and possibility.
